Meet our Ignite Challenge Team

'Seven Wonders of Ignite'

River City Housing is pleased to announce that we have been selected as one of six nonprofit partners in the Leadership Louisville Center's 2019 Ignite Louisville Challenge.   The Ignite Louisville Challenge is the service learning component of Ignite Louisville where teams take on a project proposed by a local non-profit.  We are very excited about this partnership with our Ignite Challenge Team 'Seven Wonders of Ignite' and very grateful for the gift of their time and efforts to assist our organization.

Property tax bills were mailed out by the Jefferson County Sheriff on November 1st. If you know ANYONE struggling to pay their upcoming property taxes, please refer them to LHOME today! They offer a 12-month loan, up to $2,500, at 6% APR. They also go to the County Clerk’s office on behalf of their clients to pay their property tax bill and they work with their clients to save for future taxes and homeowners insurance!

Please spread the word to your friends, relatives, and neighbors today! If tax bills are paid by December 1, 2018, a 2% discount is applied. From 12/2-12/31, 2018, the full amount is charged. From 1/1/2019-1/31/2019, a 5% penalty is charged. From 2/1/2019-4/15/19 a 10% interest rate AND a 10% penalty are charged. If the property tax bill is not paid prior to 4/15/2019, it could be sold to a third party and even higher fees are charged. Too many homeowners are losing their homes for less than $5,000 of unpaid property taxes! Please contact
LHOME today for you or anyone that you know needs this type of assistance!
