KHC UNEMPLOYMENT BRIDGE PROGRAM (UBP)
KY Homeowner Assistance-Limited Time Only
In light of the financial hardships faced by many Kentucky homeowners due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) is reactivating its Unemployment Bridge Program (UBP) for a limited time, effective immediately. KHC has funding available to help approximately 1,500 unemployed homeowners with this program.
JCPS FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCH SITES
JCPS Nutrition Services began distributing free breakfast and lunch today to all children 18 and under as well as all JCPS students over age 18. JCPS has 58 sites where families can drive or walk up and get the meals from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday while schools are closed. Each child present can get a breakfast and lunch. BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK
Blessings in a Backpack will distribute weekend meals on Fridays to kids in the program at designated feeding sites by JCPS. Click below to view participating sites.
ASSISTANCE WITH MONTHLY EXPENSES
One Step at a Time
During these uncertain times, several companies including LG&E, Kentucky Utilities Company and the Louisville Water Company announced measures to assist residential customers who may be facing financial difficulties in the near-term due to impacts from COVID-19. Until May 1, LG&E will suspend disconnects and waive late fees. Louisville Water
Company will suspend turnoffs for residential customers who may have difficulty paying their bill during this time.
FREE WI-FI, BROADBAND ACCESS FOR STUDENTS
Helping The Community
Spectrum is offering 60-day free service to households with students at speeds up to 100 Mbps for those who do not already have a subscription. Charter will also continue offering Spectrum Internet Assist for low-income households that offers speeds up to 30 Mbps. The company said that all installation fees will be waived for new student households.

HOUSEHOLD PAYMENTS OF $1000
Supplemental payments for eligible Louisville households
Metro Government will give a $1,000 payment directly to eligible households who have LOST EMPLOYMENT due to COVID-19. To qualify, Louisville region households must have an income under the area median income, which is $76,400 for a family of four. Neighborhood Place now has an EASIER and quicker process to access COVID-19 emergency funds. Please use the below link to schedule your appointment, which is much easier than trying to call the Neighborhood Place. Calling Neighborhood Place should be reserved for families who do not have internet access. LHOME LIFELINE LOANS
Emergency loan
For anyone experiencing a financial hardship during this pandemic, (instead of going to a payday loan company), please consider reaching out to LHome, who has a Lifeline Loan. The loan will make payments up to $500 directly on your behalf to LG&E, Lou Water Co, landlord or mortgage provider, healthcare provider, or other essential providers. All Kentuckians who are eligible for unemployment insurance, particularly those affected by work loss due to #COVID19, should apply. In order to serve you better, UI claims should be filed on a specific day of the week based on the first letter of your last name.

LHome loan for small businesses
The Small Business Continuity Loan Program provides 0% loans up to $25,000, with no payments for 12 months, to small businesses impacted by COVID-19 within 3-5 business days of application. Contact LHOME CDFI or visit LHOMEKY.org for more details.

A coalition of government and philanthropy has joined together to create the One Louisville: COVID-19 Response Fund that will rapidly deploy resources to households, businesses, and community-based organizations (nonprofit organizations) working at the frontlines of the Louisville-area coronavirus outbreak.
The goal of this Fund is to attract and provide financial assistance to help communities, households, and businesses who are disproportionately impacted by the virus and its economic consequences.

RESTAURANT WORKER RELIEF PROGRAM
Support Services
The LEE Initiative in partnership with Maker's Mark will turn 610 Magnolia into a relief center for any restaurant worker who has been laid off or has had a significant reduction in hours. They will provide dinners and supplies on a first come first serve basis. Limit of 2 unless there is an emergency situation. Supplies on hand include: baby food & supplies, non-perishable food, toilet paper and Tylenol.
